6 field mosaic of the North American (NGC7000) and Pelican Nebula (IC5070) complex in Cygnus taken with a Takahashi F60C and a SBIG ST-8XE taken with a hydrogen alpha filter.  This was done as part of a project on Wide Field Imaging for HET 602 "Stars and the Milky Way" at Swinburne Astronomy Online.
NA and Pelican final HaRGB4.jpg (5255076 bytes) 6 field mosaic of the North American (NGC7000) and Pelican Nebula (IC5070) complex in Cygnus taken with a Takahashi F60C and a SBIG ST-8XE combining the hydrogen alpha image above with red, green and blue images taken with a CFW-8 filter wheel.  This was done as part of a project on Wide Field Imaging for HET 602 "Stars and the Milky Way" at Swinburne Astronomy Online.  This image combines 168 images totaling 15 hours of hydrogen alpha light, 3 hours of red, 3 hours of green and 3 hours of blue for a total of 24 hours of collected light.
